The SwitchBot Hub Mini is a compact smart home hub that bridges the gap between your existing infrared appliances and modern voice or app control. Instead of replacing your air conditioner, TV, or fan, it learns their infrared signals and lets you command them through the SwitchBot app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri via HomeKit compatibility. It's the connective tissue that turns a room full of unconnected devices into a coordinated smart environment. Beyond infrared control, the Hub Mini doubles as a Wi-Fi bridge for other SwitchBot devices like the Curtain, Bot, or Motion Sensor, allowing them to be controlled remotely even when you are away from home. It also includes a built-in temperature and humidity sensor, giving you real-time environmental data directly in the app, which can trigger automations such as turning on a fan when a room gets too warm. Designed to disappear into your decor, the Hub Mini has a small round shape available in white or black and can be placed on a shelf or mounted with the included adhesive pad. Setup is straightforward through the SwitchBot app, and once configured, it quietly works in the background enabling scenes, schedules, and remote access to appliances that were never designed to be smart in the first place.
Customer reviews
I have a window AC unit that only came with a physical remote. The Hub Mini learned the codes in seconds and now I can turn it on before I even get home. Works great with Alexa too.
Took me a bit to understand how it connects with other SwitchBot products, but once set up it has been rock solid. The temperature sensor is a nice bonus feature I didn't expect to use so much.
Bought this specifically for HomeKit support since my TV isn't smart. It integrates well with my existing automations and the app rarely gives me trouble.
Works fine most of the time but I noticed occasional lag when my router was busy. Had to dedicate it to the 2.4GHz band specifically to keep it stable.
I got this mainly to control my SwitchBot curtain motors remotely and it's been flawless. Didn't expect to use the IR blaster feature as much as I do now for my fan.
